Trout and coarse fishing on this beat is administered by Dunkeld & Birnam AA. - Fly only. Adults £4, Juniors £2. Weekly permits are £12 and £6 respectively. Fishing is from daylight to one hour after sunset. No night fishing, but Sunday fishing is allowed. Trout under 9" to be returned. 20 anglers per day including 8 available to public.

Salmon Fishing

There is no salmon fishing on the Braan above the Hermitage Falls. These falls are located close to the mouth of the river and are impassible to adult salmon. The Scottish Office have however stocked some tributaries with juvenile salmon.
