Description of the River Almond in LothianThe River Almond in Lothian, Scotland is 28 miles long, rising in North Lanarkshire running through West Lothian and the town of Livigston into the Firth of Forth at Cramond near Edinburgh. Once very polluted now improving with sea trout and a few salmon. More than 6.5 miles of (mostly) double bank salmon sea trout and brown trout fishing is available via Cramond Angling Club. During Season 2011 the Cramond Angling Club reported 49 salmon and grilse, 231 sea trout and finnock and 740 brown trout. Tributaries include Breich Water and Linhouse water.
