Loch Awe is one of the largest lochs in Scotland at 26 miles long and up to 1 mile wide and 300ft deep. It is famous for its brown trout, big pike and rainbow trout fishing, but also contains roach and eels. All fishing is managed by the Loch Awe Improvement Association (L.A.I.A.).
The loch holds the current British record brown trout at 31lb 10oz (landed at Ardbrecknish on March 15, 2002.)
