River Wnion (Afon Mnion) offers excellent evening fly fishing for Sewin and Sea Trout.
On the left bank from White Cottage lawn (Storehouse) right through to Dolgellau Main Bridge. From Bontywernddu Bridge (right bank looking upstream) to Llindir (White Cottage) and up to Green Footbridge except for Orchard at Llindir.
All these sections are excellent for evening fly fishing for Sewin and Sea Trout.
Both sides of river above Dolgellau Main Bridge are owned by us for approximately 3/4 mile. The next section includes both banks of Wnion below Steps Pool up to Dolserau Bridge then right bank for approximately 1/2 mile to opposite Dolserau Uchaf Farm. These beats are excellent when in spate.

River Mawddach (Afon Mawddach)
This section of river is very different to our lower sections of the Wnion and Mawddach. There are several large deep pools in an otherwise very rocky river bed. Given good water levels it can be a superb salmon and sea trout river. Worm, fly, spinner and shrimp all are effective methods depending obviously on water levels. From mid season onwards one nearly always sees salmon turn in some of these pools.

Llyn Cynwch (lake) opens on the 1st of March and ends on the 31st October. The lake is situated near the well known Precipice Walk, near Llanfachreth, Dolgellau. It is stocked every 2 – 3 weeks throughout the season with Brown and Rainbow Trout from the Hatchery at Machynlleth. The largest Rainbow Fish caught was a monster at 13 and a half pounds caught by Mr. Lewis of Llanelltyd. The largest Brown Trout was a beautiful 6 lb specimen.

Season tickets, weekly tickets and day tickets available.
