The Association has 3.5 miles of the lower River Urr on the Craignair Beat and Firthhead beat for salmon and sea trout fishing and the Buittle Reservoir, fly fishing from bank and boat for rainbow and brown trout. Day tickets are available from McCowan and Son tackle shop in Castle Douglas and from the Pheasant Hotel in Dalbeattie.
The salmon season is from March 15 till November 30 and the brown trout season is from March 15 till September 30.
