Skeldon salmon fishing beats are situated in the middle reaches of the River Doon, Ayrshire and are considered to be some of the best. The Doon is a back end spate river and fishes best from August onwards, although fish are caught earlier depending on conditions. Season opens on the 11th February and closes on 31st October. Day tickets are available for single rods or parties.

Two miles double bank fishing with twelve named pools, good access and all on level ground. Maximum five rods per day.Yonderton Beat
One and a half miles single and double bank fishing containing eight pools. Access good, undulating ground. Maximum four rods per day.
We have a charming country holiday cottage in a working courtyard setting and a superb five bedroom house dating from the nineteenth century, both available for rent. These self catering holiday properties are in excellent condition and furnished comfortably in a traditional style.
