Description of Fishings | ||||||||||||
The fishing is situated about 8 miles north of Dunkeld and runs along the west side of the A9. Access to the fishing hut is directly opposite Kinnaird House, coming from the south turn off to the left approximately 4.5 miles from the bridge over the river Tay. From the north turn off to the right approximately 1.5 miles from the Ballinluig exit. The beat lies in the attractive Tay Valley and The beat is easily fished from the bank or by wading. The use of boats is dependant on water conditions and at the discretion of the ghillie. Fly, spinning and worm are all permitted | The Lower Kinnaird beat is 2 miles double bank. It starts at the junction of the Tay and Tummel Rivers and ends at the Dalguise beat boundary. Lower Kinnaird will fish at all heights but it is at its absolute best in low water when it is a lovely fly beat. The methods allowed are fly When the water is high, a boat can be used for harling with a ghillie. Boats are used at the ghillie’s discretion as this beat is not always navigable at all heights. This is considered a six rod beat. To reserve the beat exclusively, a party must pay for six rods even though. Under no circumstances | |||||||||||

Trout & Coarse Fishing | ||||||||||||
Trout and coarse fishing permits are controlled by Perth & District AA. Fly only on conventional fly rod and reel, no spinning, no minnow. Day tickets available. Two rods available to public and 2 for members. Fishing 9am to 10pm. Bag limit 8 trout. All trout under 9″ to be returned. No fishing either bank within 50m of the fishing hut at Kindallachan.
