Hoddom and Kinmount Estates owns 2½ miles of the River Annan which is mainly a Salmon and Seatrout river. The Sea trout start to run in May with the main run in June and July. The Salmon start to run in August with the main run in October/November. There is also a good population of Brown Trout and Grayling. There are 13 named pools, all within easy walking distance of the caravan park.
3 miles away are probably the best pike fishing lakes in South West Scotland. The 2 lakes are very exclusive; with a total of 10 acres of water and a maximum of 5 rods it is not over fished thus ensuring a better days fishing.
