Drumlanrig Castle Fishings are renowned for its fishings both on the beautiful River Nith for Salmon and Sea Trout and across seven trout lochs, each known for their serene surroundings and excellent days’ sport. Drumlanrig Castle Fishings comprise a length of seven miles encompassing 28 pools and broadening from rocky gorge into gravelled riverbed with a variety of deep pools. The reaches provide accessible fishing for both salmon and sea trout and consist of four beats: Lower, Middle, Upper and Nith Linns, each approximately 1.5 to 2 miles long. The season is longer than on most rivers extending from 25 February to 30 November.

Drumlanrig Castle Fishings are now offering Grayling fishing during the winter months.

There are seven trout lochs ranging from 1.5 acres to 35 acres and offer excellent rainbow and wild brown trout fishing including Kettleonhead, Morton Castle, Starburn Loch, Hillhead, Farthingbank, Slatehouse, Coldstream

Dabton Pond and Morton Loch – and both are stocked with Tench.
