Wigan & District Angling Association
A long-established angling association based in Wigan, in the North West of England. It is comprised of smaller fishing clubs but also welcomes individual anglers as members, total membership currently standing at well over 2,000.
The Association controls fishing on waters in Greater Manchester and Lancashire, including stretches of the River Ribble, River Wyre and River Douglas, about 25 miles of fishing on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the Rufford Canal, up to Br 7 only. We also have fishing on16 lakes, reservoirs and ponds.
Stillwaters include: Birkacre Big Lodge, Birkacre Small Lodge, Bryn Flash, Fan Lodge, Heapey , Hindley Deep Pit, Hindley Square Lodge, Houghton’s Lodge, Ince Park Lane, Melling’s Number 1 Flash, Moran’s Moat, Scot Lane New Pond, The Trenchy

Membership is open and yearly permits are available from shops.
Day Tickets are available on some waters.
