Controls three day ticket waters:
Valence Moat in Dagenham is a small lake ideal
for juniors learning to fish, the fish include
roach, rudd, crucians, perch, gudgeon andcarp
nearing double figures. Harwood Hall, (also known
as Parklands) in Upminster is again a nice lake
for juniors The water also holds a good head of
large carp and carp anglers visit the water regularly,
there's some pike and all the usual fish including
roach, rudd, crucian. Pea Lane also in Upminster
is for the angler that wants peace and quiet.
Garnish Hall at Abridgeis a small lake with an
island in the middle, the carp there go to double
figures and roach and rudd are abundant.

Billericay
and District Angling Club
Formed in 1957, and now is the
largest in Essex, offering fishing on 24 lakes
and 9.5 miles of river. BDAC is affiliated to
The National Federation of Anglers, The Anglers
Conservation Association and Essex Angling Consultative
Association. It also supports and endorses the
Essex Angling Watch.

Park's
Angling Club
Controls the fishing on the only
two lakes situated wholly within the Borough of
Southend on Sea, and is attempting to obtain the
lease on a third. Both lakes are sited within
the confines of public parks and are fishable
on a day ticket basis. Fees are £3.00 for
adults, allowing the use of two rods, and £1
per rod for juniors and other concessionary licence
holders. |
